Birthday, moves and re-growing digits.

So I turned 38 yesterday. Not one person from my work said a peep about it. I’ve been there almost 5 years. Makes you feel great about yourself. I know, pity party… blech! Thanks to Nicole for the sashimi and my family for being the cool folks that they are. You all rule and you know it.

We’ve been moving our company so I didn’t even bother to ask for the day off, (which can be on your birthday or floating.) I asked for it off the next week because I knew we were under the gun with deadlines etc.. I still got flack for asking for it off. The move is complete and everyone is back up and running. I worked a ton of extra hours to help the tech stuff go without a hitch—It did and I am proud of everyone who helped get it done. It would have been nice to get a bit more acknowledgment for the time I put in, but what can you do…

My finger is growing back and I am happy about that. It will be interesting to see what kind of scar I get. Wonder if I’ll have any fingerprints on the end of that finger anymore. Down to a band-aid and some tape but I still keep smacking it on everything. It feels really good when I poke the corner of a box or reach into a bag and poke it with a pen—that definitely makes the pelvis twang.

I officially have cabin fever and need to get beat up. I’m whining like a spoiled trust fund twerp. Unnngh!

On a good note, Seth called me singing the praises of getting a new fridge. He made my day with that one. Also congrats to him and Alex on their newborn girl. Can’t wait to see more photos.
